In the first part of this article, we introduced you to shelving, in two variations, to fit out the space under a quarter-turn staircase, as found in many homes in a variety of formats.

Fitting out under closed staircases

In this second part, we're going to look at more advanced made-to-measure furniture, closed this time: make way for under-stair cupboards. They're very similar to their under-slope cousins, although we've adjusted a number of details for perfect integration - door adjustment, independent doors, etc.

Full under-stair cupboard

You can completely close off the space with an under-stair cupboard with doors in each column.

A little work on the decor

To conclude, a model that wants to show off! Glass shelves, a beautiful imitation aluminium melamine for the doors: a bit of simple work that results in a piece of furniture with a unique character!

The lowest door is free, to give access to all the volume located under the quarter turn. The doors come in front of the staircase stringer, for an impeccable finish.

To keep to a very tight budget, this piece of furniture has been designed with a depth of just 50cm, which still allows space for a cross wardrobe, with a sliding rod. The door at the bottom is unobstructed (there's no cabinet behind it), so there's no hassle of having easy access to all the space under the quarter-turn, without the things stored there being visible!

With these few tricks, you get a worked aesthetic while keeping the price well under €1300.
