Defining space with a partition can be a good solution, but by doing so you'll be darkening and cluttering up your interior, while committing yourself to complicated work! What we're proposing is simple: create a bespoke piece of furniture to act as a room divider. The aim: not to overload the space. What's more, you'll bring modernism to your home with an original layout that you won't find anywhere else... Not to mention that you'll have additional storage!!

Bottom or bottomless furniture?

If your space is small, we recommend opting for a bottomless piece of furniture that's open on both sides. You'll let in more light and zone the room without cluttering up your interior.

The partial back alternative

If not, there's another alternative open to you: using a partial back to be defined for each box. This would allow you to delimit the space to create two separate storage units for each room, all in a single piece of furniture. You can choose between 3 positioning options:

• Bottom at the back
• Bottom at mid-depth, to create a "double-sided" cabinet
• Bottom at the front with access from the back

Some examples

To delimit the living room's night space, here are several ideas:

• Create an open bookcase: this way, you'll have all the storage space you need and the items positioned in the boxes can even become decorative elements in their own right!

• Use a made-to-measure dressing room as a partition: on one side you keep the space to have a beautiful dressing room with all the storage you've defined; On the other, you create a wall to delimit your lounge area.

The room divider can also be placed as a railing. With no bottom, it leaves a beautiful opening between the staircase and the room, while preventing any nasty falls!
