4 types of wardrobe offered by Dessine Ton Meuble

On our online furniture configurator, you'll find 4 different types of wardrobe, enough to meet your different needs and space constraints.

Here are the wardrobe items you'll find on our configurator:

  • Wall wardrobe rod
  • Sliding wardrobe rod
  • Retractable wardrobe rod
  • Sliding trouser hanger

The wardrobe rod: a classic use

The wardrobe rod is the most classic wardrobe we offer on our configurator. It allows you to store your clothes on hangers and gives you an overview of your wardrobe. The wardrobe rail is fixed, positioned at a defined height.

It is a 30 mm oblong chrome-plated metal wardrobe rail, its length is made to measure according to the width of your column.

For optimum use of the wardrobe rail, we recommend a cabinet depth of 56 to 70 cm.

The sliding wardrobe: ideal for narrow furniture

The sliding wardrobe is ideal for small spaces, taking up very little surface area in width. We recommend a column width of between 450 and 550mm. Clothes are stored one behind the other, so to get an overall view of your wardrobe, you need to pull the wardrobe out of its space. Please note that the depth of your cabinet will determine the space of your wardrobe, the deeper your cabinet, the larger the wardrobe.

The sliding wardrobe rail is fixed under a sliding wooden shelf and mounted on full-extension ball bearing runners.

The retractable wardrobe rail: ideal for furniture with great heights

The retractable wardrobe rail provides access to the highest nooks and crannies of your dressing room without having to climb a stepladder to put them away or retrieve them. In fact, the wardrobe can be lowered using a handle to give you easy access to all your clothes. Its width can be adjusted to suit the interior dimensions of your made-to-measure wardrobe.

The 30 mm chrome folding wardrobe rail can support a maximum weight of 12 kg. The minimum height for installing this wardrobe bar is 900mm and the minimum width is 600mm.

The sliding trouser rack: practical storage

The trouser rack is an ideal element for having an overall view of all your stockings. It provides simple, practical storage to keep your trousers and shorts neatly ironed. It has a sturdy steel frame and slides out completely. You can fit 8 pairs of trousers on each trouser rack, whatever the width of your column.

The minimum depth for installing a trouser rack is 530 mm, and the width is adjustable between 540 and 700 mm.

How to position the wardrobes in my made-to-measure wardrobe?

The positioning of a wardrobe on the configuration of a made-to-measure wardrobe depends on your clothes. A coat or dress is always longer than a shirt, trousers are longer than shorts. Think beforehand about the different spaces you want to create and ask yourself the question: "What do I need? Perhaps you need a trouser rack specifically for shorts or a wardrobe specifically for long dresses. Thanks to our online made-to-measure furniture configurator, you'll have every opportunity to design a piece of furniture to fit your clothes to the millimetre, so you don't have to waste any more space. We still recommend 90 to 120 cm of free space underneath a wardrobe.

You're now ready to configure your made-to-measure wardrobe by adding the type of wardrobe you need.
