Our 3D configurator lets you create your own made-to-measure furniture. But be careful, there are some mistakes you should avoid when designing your project.
Measuring to create a bespoke piece of furniture is a crucial step: it's up to you to define the dimensions of your furniture to the nearest millimetre on our configurator. It is therefore imperative that you do not make any mistakes in your measurements so that your furniture fits perfectly into your space.
To do this, we advise you to go over your measurements several times, but also to ask another person to confirm your measurements. If you choose to use a laser tape measure, also check with a standard tape measure by hand to avoid any mistakes. This is especially important if your piece of furniture is to be fitted into a specific area, such as a niche or a space under a slope.
We suggest that you leave a 2 to 3 cm margin on your measurements to ensure that your piece of furniture fits into the space provided, even if you've made a mistake on your measurements or if your floor and/or walls aren't perfectly straight. Our 3D configurator also determines the ceiling height needed to straighten the furniture after assembly.
Finally, if you want to assemble your furniture in a standing position, you'll need to leave at least 5 cm of height and width margin to fix the outer side uprights, the top and the plinth. In fact, this margin will allow you to have the space you need to fit your boards together, taking into account the height of the hardware.
When designing your made-to-measure furniture, it's important that you ask yourself the following question: what is your furniture going to be used for? But also, depending on your dimensions: can you multiply the uses?
Thanks to your imagination and our configurator, you have the opportunity to combine usesas part of your bespoke furniture project in order to create aunique piece of furniture that meets your needs, expectations and requirements.
It is therefore necessary for you to define your personal needs in order to design your furniture accordingly and for it to be fully functional. Don't put any limits on the design of your project to ensure that your modular furniture suits you perfectly.
The advantage of bespoke is that you have the opportunity to create a bespoke piece of furniture that is different from the classic furniture you can find on the market. So have fun, and make more efficient use of your spaces with our online design tool.
When creating bespoke furniture, the aim is to keep a unity with the rest of your room. To do this, match materials and colours so that your furniture blends in perfectly with your space. If you design your project without thinking about the current design of your room, the risk is that your furniture will not fit in with your room and will contrast with the rest of your furniture.
It is therefore necessary to design your volume as a whole and proportion your furniture according to your layout whether in terms of its size or aesthetic appeal.
The advantage of our configurator and bespoke is that you can ccreate your furniture yourself. But be careful, this means that you also have to pay attention to the smallest detail, and it's up to you to think about it in terms of your space, your desires and your constraints: rear plinth cut-out, rear edge veneer, wrong choice of wardrobe, colour that doesn't match your existing furniture... It's this set of details that makes it possibleto ensure the ergonomics and aestheticsof your bespoke furniture. You therefore necessarily need to spend more time on the purchase of a bespoke piece of furniture than a conventional piece to ensure that the final result meets your expectations.
It's not uncommon for the purchase of a bespoke piece of furniture to be underestimated. But beware, made-to-measure is a personalised service: we produce a unique piece of furniture to order, customised according to your criteria, needs and dimensions... The price is therefore defined from your project onwards and cannot be cheap, so being similar or compared to mass-market furniture is a mistake that happens regularly. Designing customised furniture has a cost and requires more manufacturing time given that each element of your furniture is made to measure and to the millimetre.
