We were thrilled to collaborate with EmmyMakeUpPro to create her fully bespoke L-shaped closet! A true trailblazer in the world of beauty and lifestyle on YouTube France, Emmy launched her channel on August 31, 2009, and now boasts over 1,000,000 subscribers and more than 159,000,000 views on YouTube.
With a passion for makeup, fashion, and interior design, Emmy wanted a space perfectly tailored to her professional needs. Discover how we rose to the challenge with a custom closet crafted with remarkable precision!
Emmy had a room corner of 4 meters by 1.70 meters to set up, dedicated to her creative activities as a professional makeup artist and beauty columnist. Here are the main challenges we encountered—and how we solved them:
She wanted a striking, visually appealing closet to serve as the background for her videos. Working closely together, we designed a spacious and elegant 4-meter long, 2.40-meter high unit, seamlessly integrated within her space. The closet features a fully matte pearl white finish with inset doors and visible side panels for a refined final touch.
The room had a window on the left side with a casing for shutters and a high-placed light switch. To ensure accessibility and visual harmony, we:
Reduced the closet depth in this section so the window could open freely.
Added a 68 mm circular hole in the furniture to neatly integrate the switch for convenient, unobstructed use.
With a taste for minimal and clean lines, Emmy opted for a handle-free look using push-to-open systems:
On the doors, for smooth, handleless opening.
On the drawers, featuring premium Blum runners and integrated push mechanism, ensuring a gentle, soft-close action.
Emmy chose a base with adjustable feet and clip-on plinths, allowing the closet to be fitted and aligned to the millimeter. This solution is especially recommended for uneven floors or spaces with sloped ceilings or under-stairs areas.
Emmy wanted ample hanging storage with both fixed and adjustable shelves to arrange her clothing and shoes. We installed fixed rails in her custom closet. We also offer other options, such as pull-out or retractable rails and pull-out trouser racks, for optimal space utilization.
Emmy was looking to optimize every inch right up to the ceiling. To facilitate installation, we provided a safety margin, complemented by finishing panels at the top of the unit. These not only create a seamless, perfectly fitted look, but also compensate for the gap required for easy flat-pack assembly and lifting the unit upright.
Thanks to our expertise, EmmyMakeUpPro now enjoys a closet perfectly suited to her space and her needs. Functional, aesthetically appealing, and optimized, it has become a central feature of her creative world!
