wall-mounting bracket

Article : How do I fix my custom furniture to the wall?

Properly securing your custom furniture is essential to ensure its stability and prevent any tipping forward. Follow these simple steps.

Regardless of your furniture’s height, it can tip forward depending on the load inside if it’s not firmly fixed. To guarantee safety, it is crucial to secure the unit through the vertical uprights or via the top panel depending on your furniture type.

2) How to correctly fix the brackets

  • One part of the bracket is attached to the furniture itself, directly onto a vertical upright (the side with the two smaller holes).
  • The other part is secured to the wall using anchors suited to your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete, etc.). We only provide the brackets, not the anchors.

Mounting Side Upright

The large round hole on the bracket (No.1) allows for easy adjustment of its position.

A metal plate (No.2) fits into the bracket’s groove and can be adjusted in height as needed.

If necessary, you can reverse the orientation of the bracket to suit your installation requirements.

Finally, a provided plastic cover (No.3) clips onto the bracket once installation is complete. This conceals the metal part and the screws, creating a cleaner and more discreet finish.

3) How can you avoid your furniture tipping forward?

Depending on your setup, two effective solutions are available.
In all cases, mounting via the vertical uprights is essential.

Solution 1: Fixing from inside the unit

If you prefer, you can drill the back panel of your furniture to secure the brackets directly at the vertical uprights (the side sections structuring the unit).
This provides direct and reinforced support.

Solution 2: For tall furniture, fixings through the top

You can attach brackets directly to the top of your furniture, then to the wall.
This method is simple and discreet.

4) Want to wall-mount your furniture?

In this case, it’s crucial to distribute the fixing points evenly to ensure lasting and reliable support.

  • Start by fixing metal brackets to the top of each vertical upright on your unit (those located on the sides and inside, if present).
  • Be sure to add as many brackets as required, considering the total weight of the unit once loaded.

Bridge Furniture Bracket

Pro tip:
If the back of your furniture is thin (3 mm) or thicker and more robust, adapt your screws accordingly. The key is for the screw to pass through the back panel and be anchored in a plug you’ve placed in the wall. Remember to choose wall plugs suited to your specific wall type (drywall, brick, concrete, etc.).

Mistake to avoid:
Without reinforcement with a bracket, the central part may sag, as shown in the example below.
