To design your DessineTonMeuble furniture in ChatGPT, you first need to add our connector. What the connector can do is covered in the article Create your custom furniture directly with ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral.

Before you start
A free ChatGPT account is enough. You also need a DessineTonMeuble account, which you can create during setup if you don't have one.
1. Add the connector
You add the connector from the ChatGPT Plugins page, not from a conversation. In the left-hand menu, click Plugins, then at the top right click Add > Add custom MCP server.
In the form, enter DessineTonMeuble as the name and https://mcp.dessinetonmeuble.fr as the server URL, and leave authentication set to OAuth. Tick I understand and want to continue and click Create as plugin.
2. Connect your DessineTonMeuble account
ChatGPT then offers to link the connector to your account: click Connect DessineTonMeuble.
You land on our website. Log in (or create an account), then click Autoriser (allow). ChatGPT opens again automatically.
3. Use it in a conversation
In ChatGPT, you turn the connector on in each new conversation: click the + button in the message bar and choose DessineTonMeuble.
Then describe your furniture, for example:
"Create a small cabinet 64 cm wide, 42 cm high and 38 cm deep, with 2 columns and 1 height-adjustable shelf in each column."
The furniture appears in 3D in the conversation. You can rotate it, and the Importer sur mon compte (import to my account) button adds it to your DessineTonMeuble account.
Without a DessineTonMeuble account
You can also create the connector with the URL https://mcp.dessinetonmeuble.fr/public and the No authentication option. You design and view your furniture the same way, and the Importer sur mon compte button still works, but the assistant can't access the projects you've already saved.
Troubleshooting
- ChatGPT doesn't use the connector: check that it's turned on in the conversation, with the + button.
- The 3D view doesn't appear: ask "show it to me in 3D".
- ChatGPT asks you to reconnect: your session has expired, so log back in to your DessineTonMeuble account.
