Once you've chosen the types of door and their placement on your bespoke furniture, it's time to move on to the personalisation of your doors. Doors are an important part of the design of your furniture because they usually take up a lot of space: they're the first thing people see when they look at your furniture. You therefore need to customise them carefully so that they reflect the style you want and so that your furniture fits in perfectly with your interior decor

The position of your doors: inset or surface-mounted?

We offer two different positions for the doors of your made-to-measure furniture: the inset position and the surface-mounted position. These two positions modify the aesthetics of your furniture in two different ways, but do not affect the use of your doors. The choice of position is made directly in the parameters of a door and should be made according to your personal tastes.

Enclosed doors are "recessed" within your furniture, meaning that the surrounding elements (shelves, uprights...) are visible when your door is closed. If there are several doors in a row in the same column, you can add shelves between each one: this will make the most of the recessed effect of your doors and give your furniture more structure.

As for the applied doors, they cover the surrounding elements and will look as if they are "placed" on your uprights. They do not form part of the depth chosen for your furniture, i.e. they will add 18mm to the total depth of your furniture.

The choice of colour for your furniture doors

Our 3D configurator gives you the opportunity to personalise the colour of each element of your furniture and in particular the colour of your doors. To do this, you simply need to go to the settings for the door you want in order to change its colour. Then it's up to you to use your imagination to customise the colour of your doors to suit the style you're going for. You can use as many colours as you like with no limits thanks to made-to-measure.

What type of handle on the doors of your furniture?

We offer several types of handle to personalise your made-to-measure furniture. Our catalogue includes around 30 different handles or opening systems.

First of all, we offer severalclassic handles, in different shapes, sizes and colours, and all of very good quality. They allow you to style your bespoke furniture in a number of different ways. To soften, opt for slightly rounded handles. To add structure and modernity to your furniture, opt for rectangular handles. If long handles don't suit you, we also offer 3 different handle knob designs.

If the handle designs we offer in our catalogue don't suit you, you can add a very specific handle design to your furniture. In fact, we also offer to make pre-drilled holes. This makes it very easy to fit the handles you want to your furniture. You can also match your furniture to those already in your home by adding the same handle model.

Finally, if you don't want a handle on your furniture, we also offer a push-pull opening system. This opening system allows you to open your door simply by exerting light pressure on it. It's a type of opening that corresponds perfectly to current interior furnishing trends and allows you to favour sobriety on your furniture.

Choose the exact location of the handles on your door

Finally, to finalise the personalisation of your doors, you also have the option of choosing the exact location of your handles on your doors. To do this, simply go to your door's settings: this will give you access to the handle settings. Our configurator gives you the option of choosing the direction of your handle: horizontal or vertical. But also its alignment (right, left or middle of your door) and its height (top, middle, bottom  of your door or 1m10 from the floor). This way, you can choose the exact position of your handles and optimise the operation of the doors on your bespoke furniture.
