To design your DessineTonMeuble furniture in Claude, you first need to add our connector. What the connector can do is covered in the article Create your custom furniture directly with ChatGPT, Claude or Mistral.

Before you start
A free Claude account is enough, but it only allows one custom connector. You also need a DessineTonMeuble account, which you can create during setup if you don't have one.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise account, only an organisation owner can add a custom connector. Ask them to add it for the team: everyone then connects to it with their own DessineTonMeuble account.
1. Add the connector
You add the connector from the Claude Customize page, not from a conversation. Open claude.ai/customize/connectors (in the left-hand menu: Customize, Connectors tab), then click + Add > Add custom connector.
Enter DessineTonMeuble as the name and https://mcp.dessinetonmeuble.fr as the URL, then click Continue.
Claude detects the connection method on its own (marked "Detected"): keep the suggested options and click Add.
2. Connect your DessineTonMeuble account
On the connector's page, click Connect.
You land on our website. Log in (or create an account), then click Autoriser (allow). Claude opens again automatically.
3. Use it in a conversation
In Claude, the connector is on by default in all your conversations. To check, click the + button in the message bar, then Connectors.
Then describe your furniture, for example:
"Using the DessineTonMeuble connector, create a small cabinet 64 cm wide, 42 cm high and 38 cm deep, with 2 columns and 1 height-adjustable shelf in each column."
The first time Claude wants to use one of the connector's tools, it asks for your permission. If you choose Always allow, it won't ask again for that tool.
The furniture appears in 3D in the conversation. You can rotate it, and the Importer sur mon compte (import to my account) button adds it to your DessineTonMeuble account.
Troubleshooting
- You can't add the connector: on the free plan, you can only have one custom connector. Remove the other one if needed.
- The 3D view doesn't appear: ask "show it to me in 3D".
- The connector's page says "Connection problem": click Reconnect and log back in to your DessineTonMeuble account.
